Mirage Country Club

Amazing course which is beautiful and testing but also very playable for golfers of all standards with generally wide fairways and in beautiful condition. Greens are large and had been sanded on the day we played so were slow but should quicken in the next couple of weeks. Staff were very friendly and the facilities are great. All carts here which is good as there are some long distances between holes. Deals for AGU members on Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday are great value at $65 with cart

We were on holidays from Brisbane, my partner who loves golf wanted to play a game so he had looked around at a few of the courses and this was his top pick, he read the reviews and was slightly detoured to go here. However, we drove past the course a few times over the days and we both really liked the look of it, we ended up calling the pro shop. We called with relatively late notice to book but Jo was so friendly, accommodating and informative. On arrival signage is clear on where you need to go and the pro shop is neat. When we arrived we dealt with Lisa from the pro shop, she was so friendly and welcoming, Steve had our buggy ready with our hired clubs on the back and ice in the esky. The course was so much fun, even the greens keepers were friendly, we honestly couldn’t fault anything about this course or the staff. Don’t let the reviews detour you, the place is amazing and we’d definitely be back!!

Visiting From Brisbane , and searched golf courses, read some negative reviews but as the course looked pretty good I thought I would give it a go. Went to the clubhouse to enquire and was greeted with welcoming smiles and extremely friendly and wonderful service , Just couldn’t fault how good the staff were. Booked in for a round on Wednesday and again nothing was to much trouble , so enjoyed my day rebooked for Friday and exactly the same experience, course was in great condition, wonderful weather, happy Staff couldn’t ask for two better days of golf. I will def be back next time visiting Cairns. Thankyou

Played here in August 2023. Could not fault the staff, they did a great job fitting us in for a couple of rounds. The ladies in the pro shop were super friendly and helpful and the starters/marshalls Ken and Bruce were very helpful and had a great sense of humour. They even stored my bag overnight and had it fitted to a cart ready to go when I arrived the next morning. All in all it was a great customer experience. The course isn't super long, most of the par 5's are quite reachable in 2, but they are a bit tricky with surrounding bunkers and water so you have to be fairly accurate. The only criticism I would have is there are no drinks/water available on course and the greens need a bit of work, they were a bit bumpy and slow. I only wish we had more time to play while we were visiting, I could literally play here every day and not get tired of it. If you like your golf and are in the port Douglas area i would highly recommend a visit to the Mirage CC.

This is a very well maintained golf course. I love the floating range! I enjoyed my walk while my partner is playing. If you live in Sheraton, clubs hiring is for free as well. Recommend to play early as it gets really hot after 9am. It is also a course where you may see cros residents. I wish we saw some crocs but apparently they are pretty shy in summer.

WARNING - terrible customer service. After arriving for a golf trip with friends (all of which are members of their respective clubs) we were verbally accosted by the goose at the pro shop who simply barked at us with instructions as to how he would like us to play. This bloke then continued to hide in the shadows around the course until he thought he would ‘sanction’ us as he wasn’t able to determine who was scoring whom within our group. It’s troubling to think that another human on a golf course would think this is the best use of their time or the highest priority…but there it is. Overall, the environment is wonderful, but the course itself is very tired, layout uninspiring and people running the show petulant. There are many other wonderful courses in close proximity - I’d suggest, pick one of these instead.

Played here in August 2023. I didn't feel welcome at all. Driving range balls look like they are 50 years old. Facilities, particularly toilets are not tidy. Greens are a letdown, extremely slow. I am giving them two stars, one for the buggy guys and another for the Crocs I spotted on the 16th. The final three holes are quite a test.
